The fundamentals of a Trust Architecture involve defining how your organization works. Once that is accomplished, you must decide:

• Who: Who or what do you trust?

• What: What is the extent of that trust?

• Why: For what purpose has trust been assigned? (Authorized or assigned?)

• When: Over what periods is that trust authorized? (or assigned?)

Once these factors are defined the processes to manage and monitor them can be put in place.
